13年前、東日本大震災に関連して起こった福島第一原子力発電所の事故により、福島県の海沿いを中心とした地域に避難指示が出され、多くの住民が長期にわたる避難生活を余儀なくされました。その後、飛散した放射性物質を取り除く除染が進められ、生活できる環境が整い、大部分の地域で避難指示は解除されましたが、元の場所には戻らない住民も多く、地域の人口は震災前に比べ大きく減少しました。国はその対策の一つとして「福島イノベーション・コースト構想」を推進し、イノベーションによる地域再生に取り組んでいます。ブースでは福島の現状や取り組みを来場者の皆さんに知っていただいて、日本の未来についても共に考えてみたいと思います

Thirteen years ago, due to the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in connection with the Great East Japan Earthquake, evacuation orders were issued for areas mainly along the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, and many residents were forced to live in evacuation for a long time. Since then, decontamination has been carried out to remove the scattered radioactive materials, an environment has been created for living, and evacuation orders have been lifted in most areas, but many residents have not returned to their original locations, and the population of the area has decreased significantly compared to before the earthquake. As one of the measures, the government is promoting the "Fukushima Innovation Coast Initiative" and is working to revitalize the region through innovation.At the booth, Mr./Ms.we would like to let all visitors know about the current situation and initiatives in Fukushima, and we will think about the future of Japan together.
